Pumpkin Carrot puree

Pumpkin Carrot puree

Pumpkin carrot puree is another combo which babies love to eat. Pumpkins are a good source of iron, potassium and protein. Quite high in fiber but low in fats.

Carrots on other hand are also an excellent source of beta-carotene and promote a strong immune system. It contains some iron, calcium and vitamin C as well.

Pumpkin carrot puree

Ingredients
Australian Pumpkin-1/2
Carrot-1

Method

I usually buy Australian pumpkin as it has a sweeter taste than other pumpkins.
Cut the pumpkin and carrot into small cubes.  Put them in a steamer and steam until soft and tender. Cook for 15 minutes .

Mash and sieve it.

You can simply feed baby this puree or mix it with baby cereal, oats, rice.
