Lentil and Rice Porridge

Lentil and Rice porridge are one of the few first foods for your baby when he/she starts eating as it is full of vitamins and good for digestion.
Here I took the vegetable which were available with me but you can take according to your babies preference.

Ingredients
Lentil- 3 tbsp
Rice- 2 tbsp
Carrot- 2 tbsp diced
onion-2 tbsp chopped
Bottle Gourd-3 tbsp diced
Spinach-1 stem choppedGinger- 1/2 sp finely chopped
Turmeric – a pinch
Water-1 -1/2 cup
Tofu
Oil-2 tbsp
Method
1. Wash lentils and rice properly in order to remove all the dirt from it and soak for 15-20 minutes as it will take less time while cooking it.

 

2. In a pressure cooker take some oil add ginger, onion and saute them. Add carrot, bottle gourd and spinach.

3. Stir the vegetables for 2-3 minutes and add lentil, rice .


4. Add turmeric to it and stir well.

5. Add sufficient water while cooking.After 3-4 whistles open and check that all vegetables and rice has cooked.

 

6. For babies you can mash it with slightly so that no pieces are there and easier to chew.
7. I have just lightly sauted Tofu in butter and gave it along with vegetable porridge.

A complete healthy meal for babies to enjoy.
