Gardens by the Bay, for its third consecutive year, is back with its Christmas Wonderland at the Gardens. This year, local and international visitors can look forward to a myriad of yuletide activities, retail, and dining options as well as the signature Luminarie light sculptures nestled across an expanded 57,000 sqm festival ground. With a bigger area occupied this year, there are more fun activities that one can look forward to.

What makes the Wonderland different this year is that visitors can marvel on the 67 Italian Luminaries – Sculptures of Light, a mainstay of the event. Over 80 trees in the Garden is decorated with Christmas lights to create the Magical Forest. In the heart of the Magical Forest is Santa’s Cottage, where one can take photographs and bring it back as a memento. The famous Spalliera Castel del Monte is the tallest luminary sculpture in South-east Asia, measuring a height of 19.7 meters. The spalliera is inspired by the 13th-century castles in east Italy. There is a daily blizzard time, and it’s something not to be missed.

There are carnival games for children of various ages. Tokens are required to participate in games and there are fun gifts to be won. The expanded area also houses the Ice Palace that has a Snow playground. It has an ice rink, and ice slide and snow playground.

Also new this year is the Hi-5 Funtastic House, where younger kids are entertained by the Hi-5 crew (not the original one). Children can sing along and show their dance moves with the crew. There is also a huge bouncy castle that adds the fun in the house. There is an entry fee for all the activities and there are up to 12 sessions of activities in a day.
