In the recent years, there is a lot of change in the way kids learn, with 3D and 4D effects you can bring almost everything like real. Now, we are in the era of Augmented reality or AR! Let me take you to one of our recent favourites – Octaland 4D+ cards.
Augmented reality is the blending of virtual reality and real life, as developers can create images within applications that blend in with contents in the real world. With AR, users are able to interact with virtual contents in the real world and are able to distinguish between the two. When I was a kid, we don’t have this fantastic way to explore the world.
Can you imagine his excitement when I passed him a set of Space 4D cards, which is a collection of 38 educational AR flashcards about space including the solar system, planets, space objects, and many man-made spacecraft that have been made to explore space such as satellites, rovers, and space explorers?
On your smartphone or a tablet search and download app under Octagon Studio, you will get to see the relevant app-
This is how Space 4D+ app looks on the smartphone with the instructions, you need to register with the code provided with the cards.
Not sure whether I have mentioned in any of my earlier posts that Aayan simply loves Science and his dream is to become a “Scientist”– anything and everything from Space, planets, astronomy, microscope, telescope, how the earth was made and much more!
Our first card was obviously “Solar System”-
Here is the video showing the simple card which transforms the planets into the real world and so much fun learning even for the younger one.
How to miss sharing our “Earth” and here purposely change the surrounding so can see how beautiful it is! You can increase or decrease the size of it and can zoom to figure your own country/continent on it.
My kids want me to share the Asteroid, Comet AR cards and how real they look here.
One of the Space Mission – Vostok Mission (1961) , I made a video with my kids and it was so beautiful to see how they have concentrated throughout the entire experience.
This is how it looks on the tab in Space 4D app and kids can read more about it.
Since I took you through this AR world of Space for my elder one, I can’t miss the fun part for my little girl here.
For Kaira, you pass her the colouring book and not even a single page is left blank. She loves the colouring and got a good grip over holding colours. She wants to finish the entire book before going to the bed, this book from Octaland 4D+ Colour me! is ideal for kids to enjoy their drawing in real.
Colour Me! is no ordinary colouring book. Youngsters can personalise these popular characters with their own designs, patterns, text or colours and then delight as they spring to life from the pages of the book. This book combines fun, creativity and learning.
You can check this page in Colour Me! book on how does it work? It is quite simple – You just need to download the Octaland 4D+ app on your smartphone or tablet.
Colour Me! adds a whole new dimension to the very traditional children’s activity of colouring, whilst perfectly blending traditional activities with technology. Get their favourite colours and fill the characters with it, now wait for the magic to happen.
We tried colouring in one shade but it won’t look so lively, so set the kids up with crayons, pencils, markers or paints and let them loose with their imagination and unique style and creativity.
