A touch of Nyonya by Philip Chia

23 April 2016, Saturday2pm

Local chef Philip Chia learnt to cook Peranakan dishes when he was five, beginning with the arduous routine of pounding sambal belacan with a mortar and pestle. From his aunts he learnt the depth of cooking Peranakan dishes and the breadth of their flavours, textures and ingredients. Be whisked away to a bygone era and experience heritage with him during this insightful and entertaining session.
