Fun@Giggles
Giggles Mural with heart!
As a parent, I am exploring more and more playgrounds for my kids where they can learn and enjoy too. I love to share the details and review of places I usually visit with my kids hoping that it might help other parents too. Sometime back we were invited to Fun@Giggles, Marine Parade and we happily made our way to the place.
At first look you will find it a little different from rest of the playgrounds as it is comprises of two areas –
  • Indoor playground (Entertainment)
  • Water wonderland ( Sensory development)

We started with Indoor playground and were welcomed by this beautiful, bright reception. I just loved this wall which they have turned into a chalkboard style.
This is the playarea and as a reviewer my first thought was same as yours but I am not comparing it with other playgrounds and there is a reason behind it that you too should not compare!
It is more than just a playground!
While kids were playing, I got an opportunity to meet the owner, Faith.  I can feel that passion and love with which she explained me everything and how she is putting her heart into it. It is just like raising your baby in the real world.
A glimpse of Waterplay (Sensory development) area which has got the beautiful art work done by the kids. I never knew that we have such kind of play based program for kids with special needs.
Joy of Learning Program is a play-based enrichment program designed for children aged 3-6 years old, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit.Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD) or other specific learning disabilites.
Here you will find different kind of Multi-Sensory room to create a stimulating and relaxing atmosphere. It actually aims to provide an environment for kids with special needs.
Do you know that secret hideout in that corner is made of bottles? This is their masterpiece which is created with lot of sweat, pain and time to make it a special place. Many things are not even available in Singapore. That bottle caps provides a good sensory movement.
Exploring colours in these bubble tube can be exciting for anyone and leave them thinking how colours are changing.
Faith told us that this room is where she serve the Special Needs Children – GIGGLES Playroom. She is very passionate about it and her greatest dream is for these children to feel love and acceptance in the society. Kids here get every possible opportunity to climb, jump, balance and explore.
I was quite impressed that how efficiently they have used the place and divided it into different rooms for the sensory development and coordination.
This was really a fun place for kids to play and conserve water while learning.
They call it “River of Life” where kids can let their imagination run wild as a stream through river of life. Kids were having a fun time in this little river moving from one end to another crossing the obstacles, coming across fish, duck, turtle. Waterfall represented by pipes.
They have Charity Art Auction organised sometime back and they keep on having it from time to time where they display the marvelous piece of work  done by kids and they were fabulous. More details on their website or can message them too to know about it.

We moved back to the indoor playground side as classes were about to start here. It might not be a very big area if you are expecting it to be but kids have had a great time enjoying with various stuff available there.
Ball pool is all time favourite where they can play for hours.
This wooden plank bridge is lovely how kids learn to balance themselves.
At first Kaira was a bit afraid to walk on this bridge but when Aayan hold her hand, she was pretty fine to walk on it too.
They make their own tunnel and bridge to crawl and hide.
This was very good to balance and coordinate while moving in circles.
Another creative way to transform it.
A pretty sweet corner for little one where they can enjoy on their own.
This magnetic wall was a good learning station and felt like having one at home too.
They have this section where you can do all creative work using this chalkboard.
Your own dressing corner where 8 out of 10 are frozen dresses. See the girls power!
Party room is not very big but good enough for kids to enjoy some crafts and celebrate too.

  1. That water sensory is great for kids. I remember that as a child I always wanted to play with water but I was not allowed. If we had this kind of place as a kid, it must be have been a fun for me. Your kids looked liked they really ahd fun.

  2. Wow, it's a great indoor place where kids can stay for hours and not be bored. I like that they can also interact with other kids physically. Kids nowadays should explore more rather than play video games.

  3. This place looks amazing! I would love to take my children to a place like this once I have kids. Anything that allows kids to have fun and learn at the same time is awesome in my book!

  4. This place looks wonderful! I'm sure all kids have fun here. And I love the idea of the River of Life – encouraging children be creative is always a good idea!

  5. Sensory play! One of the best ways to help a child learn about his or her surroundings! It's good that it's included in the many activities the kids can do here. This is such a nice place!
