Potato Rosti served with sliced apple

Potato Rosti

Potatoes are such a comfort food and loved by everyone, toddlers love to eat potato mashed potato, boiled one, patties, hashbrown. Today thought of preparing something different from the potato so why not potato rosti (I too can get a bit to eat without a guilt). Rosti is very popular in switzerland and many swiss people consider it as a national dish too.

Actually we ate it sometime back at Marche and it was served with sour cream and loved it so much.

Ingredients
Potato -2
Butter-3 tbsp
salt

Method
I have boiled potato in an open pan for 5-7 minutes and then let it cool down.

After it has cool down grate the potato add salt,butter to it and mix well.

Take a portion of potato and make a small ball and gently press it between both hands.

In a pan take oil or butter and put this potato mixture. Let it cook for a while on one side and turn the side once it is cooked well.

Do it on the other side as well.

I have served this potato rosti with slightly caramelized apple.

# Basically rosti is made just with potato but you can add onion, parsley, cheese or any herbs.
